What are the best chocolate gift for the holidays?
Posted by tlisenby under Chocolate: Chocolate Gifts[4] Comments
The end of the year is coming up fast. We have less than two months left. Now we go into shopping mode. When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping. Now is the the time to think about a gift. Chocolate is always good. Most of the time we give our friends, relatives, co-workers, chocolate gift baskets, or gifts of chocolates. My best friend loves gourmet chocolate, for Christmas this year, we will buy her a gourmet chocolate gift basket, most likely from Godiva. Godiva is her favorite.
If you think purchasing corporate chocolate gifts is to impersonal. What I mean by corporate chocolate gifts is gifts made by big corporations, or big companies. You can always make your own gift basket. My late husband Tom once posted on how to make a gift basket. It’s very informative. You can make a gift basket for all occasions including chocolate Christmas gift baskets.
Maybe a gift basket is not the right gift. In this case, some other options to consider include chocolate candy gifts, chocolate cookie gifts, and or even Vermont Teddy bear with a box of dark chocolates. If you buy just in time for Christmas, you can get 10% off at Vermont Teddy Bear! Enter coupon code ptr10d at checkout.
Chocolate Cookies, nuts, snacks, fruit & MORE maybe the right thing for your significant other, friends, or family. I know in our case, every person we buy a gift for is different. We go on a case by case basis. Most of the time, I talk to my daughter, she has come up with some great ideas.
Still need more inspiration? This is good advice, and is informative.

My Kids Just Love Chocolate Fondue Fountain
Posted by tlisenby under Chocolate: Chocolate Fountain[4] Comments
We were invited to a house warming party last weekend. My best girl friend from college just bought a house a few miles from where we live. Her and her husband just put their house on the market and moved into a bigger house. They finally closed on their new house about a week ago. Their other house is still on the market. She was telling that the housing market is bad now. They were lucky to buy their new house in a foreclosure auction. They cannot afford both, so they will try to sell their old house. But if they can’t sell it, they’ll just rent it out.
My kids, and I were at their house warming party last weekend. I noticed that they had a chocolate fountain at the party. My kids just love dipping strawberries in the fountain. Especially, Timmy he just love chocolate covered strawberries. I asked my best friend where she got the chocolate fondue fountain. She told me that she rented from a chocolate fountain rental place. Apparently according to her they are very affordable to rent. It’s great for one time occasions, especially if you don’t want to buy a chocolate fountain, and have it collect dust.
She told me she rented a Belgian Chocolate Fountain. She loves Belgian chocolates, but if Belgian chocolate isn’t for you, you can also get an American chocolate fountain. Maybe that is more to your liking.
If you have never seen a chocolate you can watch the video clip.
