"Liquidum non frangit jejunum." ([chocolate] liquids, amongst them, do not constitute a break in fasting.)

As I previously, I pay my son for every useful chocolate site he finds on the Internet. This goes for my daughter also. But today, Timmy came across a website about the .

I read the , and thought it was very informative. Since we are using the article in the blog, and the article is quality, my son got paid.

According to the article, the Aztecs didn’t invent chocolate to use it like how we use it today. The Aztecs invented chocolate as a beverage similar to our modern day beer. The drink caused a craze. Originally the drink was produced from fermenting sweet pulp surrounding the seeds.

The chocolate drink was a status symbol. It was for the elite.

What I found interesting is that the Aztecs who lived in Puerto Escondido, Honduras did not drink the chocolate beverage for the sweetness. They drank it to get drunk, or get high. This actually makes sense, because consuming chocolate, or chocolate drink does produce a high. Except today we have other beverages that produce a “higher high”.

As you noticed recently, we put up “pay per post” badges on this blog. We thought it would be a good idea to make a little extra money. I want to start putting away money for college early. By the time, Sandy, and Timmy are ready to go to college, hopefully there will be enough money saved up to pay for tuition, books, and living expenses. That will be about ten years from now. So time is on our side.

Since we are already writing about chocolate, there is no reason why we cannot write reviews, and not get paid extra. We will post reviews related to the topic of chocolate. We are going to have some blog ads, but no to the extent we have seen in other blogs.

This is strictly for a good cause. In fact, my nephew has been working for free running this blog and other blogs. I would like to pay him for his hard work. He has been gracious enough to run all the technical stuff.

When we came across PayPerPost on another blog , I discussed this with Nick, and Nicole. They both said go for it. So we signed for an account on PayPerPost, and hopefully we can write some great reviews, and make money to help with the cause.
Of course, feel free to sign up with PayPerPost. Everybody can make extra money as well.

In my last post, we talked about my daughter getting paid for finding chocolate websites. My son Timmy wanted to get paid as well. I told him, all he need to do was find quality chocolate websites.

Timmy showed me this great search engine . It a search engine dedicated to chocolate only. Find anything about chocolate. Timmy, Sandy, and I did a few searches. The results were exactly what we were looking for. We’ll definitely bookmark and use it for all our chocolate searches.

When you go to the site, you find a little cartoon chocolate cub. We thought he is cute. We like how it said, “Sniffing his way to everything chocolate”. Just like searching his way to everything chocolate. After you do a search, and see the results page, we thought there was too much advertising on the right hand side of the site. Do a few searches, and tell us what you think.
