Hello All,

We previously introduced our first Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe in this multi-part series. Today we present another Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. Let us know what you think of this Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. Without further delay we give you the next Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.

Chocolate Chip Cookie II

Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine, room temperature
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon water
2 eggs
18 ounces (3 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

Sift flour before measuring, then resift with baking soda, and salt, and set aside. Combine margarine, sugars, vanilla, and water in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer about 2 minutes until creamy. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Gradually add the sifted ingredients, and beat with electric mixer for about 2 minutes until very well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake on middle oven rack at 350 Degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not over bake. Remove from oven when lightly browned, slightly crisp on bottom, they may seem slightly undercooked. Cool 1 minute on baking sheet, then remove to paper towels to cool completely. Yield: 4 dozens

We’ve been away for a while. Now we’re back. In this latest series, we are in the coming weeks, and months search for what is the perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie. What is the criteria for the perfect chocolate chip cookie? Is it taste? Is it texture? Is it how warm the cookie is? Is it how sweet it is?

Everyone has a slightly different criteria. We are going to present various chocolate chip recipes. Please give us your valuable feedback. We would like to thank you in advance for your time, and patience.

Now on to the recipe of the day.

Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Ingredients:
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
6 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
6 ounces (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips or semisweet chocolate bar cut into pea-sized pieces

Instructions:

Sift flour before measuring, then resift with baking soda and salt. Set aside. Cream butter. Add sugars gradually, and continue beating until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in sifted ingredients. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls on to greased baking sheets, placing cookies well apart. Bake at 350 Degrees F. for about 8 to 10 minutes. Yields: about 4 dozen.
