yorgo bacanos (1900-1977) was one of the outstanding figures of turkish classical music. here you can listen his ud. unfortunately, i could not find enough photos of him.
a tribute to Cinuçen Tanr?korur (1938-2000), one of the greatest composers (with tanburi cemil bey and saadeddin kaynak) and udis (with yorgo bacanos, ?erif içli and ?erif muhyiddin targan) of twentieth century turkish classical music. he was also a vocal musician and thinker.
alaeddin yava?ca -born in 1926 in kilis (southeast anatolia)- is one of the best (for me the best) vocal musicians and a prolific composer on traditional turkish music. here you can listen one of his own songs in segah kar-i nat?k form.
