Also found on the USCG Duane are countless Barracuda. On this particular dive the current was quite strong. You can tell this by the way the Barracuda are actually having to "swim" to stay still. Because of their perfect built-for-speed torpedo-shaped bodies, usually Barracudas will appear motionless as they hang in one spot against the current.
The USCG Duane was intentionally sunk 6 miles off the coast of Key Largo, FL in 1987. She sits upright in 120' of water. Many fish species, including this rather large school of Permit congregate around her.
