(1) Refutation of the notion that Rand isn't popular, or "immortalized" in the minds of others
(2) Refutation of the notion that popularity entails significance
(3) Refutation of the notion that membership in a group or a professional "society" entails significance
I erred in not mentioning Rand's reductio ad absurdum argument against a "sense-invalidity" one:
1) Using my senses, things can appear different than they are.
2) Senses that don't pick-up things just as they are, aren't to ever be trusted.

Therefore (using a method that can't be trusted), it follows that senses err.
