This is a great arrangement of Mozart's Overture to the Marriage of Figaro, arranged by Robert Maddox. We're planning to perform it at our next concert, possibly with added timps!
The Quartet playing at the University Music Society Concert 1st March 2008. The piece is the Scherzo from Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream.
This is a higher quality sound recording than we have managed in the past, so we included some photos from various concerts/events/gigs the quartet and the flute choir have played at so far. Hope you enjoy!
The Flute Choir playing at the RUMS Easter Concert in high quality sound. This piece is Gregorio Allegri's Miserere Mei arranged for flute choir. The flute choir itself divided into 2 choirs for this. Look out for the starring roles of the bass and alto flutes in the ritornello (chorus) sections in this piece!
The Reading University Flute Choir playing the Londonderry Air (Danny Boy).
Recorded and processed by Music Technology students from Thames Valley University (January 2008)
