On October 15th, 2007 Barack Obama visited Madison's Monona Terrace. He spoke to a capacity crowd about his message of hope. UW-Madison's Students for Barack Obama (uw4obama) was instrumental in bringing the event together and over 2,000 students were in attendance.

Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle delivers a press conference at Laundry 101, HQ for the University of Wisconsin chapter of Students for Barack Obama. Doyle discussed the next day's visit by the Senator to the nearby Kohl Center.
