An American Signal P series single toned siren being run for the weekly county wide test. This siren was installed in 1997 and is located on the corner of S.23rd and Viebahn in Manitowoc.
Dual tone ACA Allertor 125 located at Stangel Elementary in the city of Manitowoc. These were the only sirens in town until about 10 years ago when the city installed penetrators to fill in the gaps. At the end I zoom in tight on it and you can see it spinning inside.
This one sounds like it's about six semitones lower than the other ones in town. Motor problems prehaps?
Per the request of another user, here's an RM-127 located at Menasha and Rapids rd doing a 3 min alert. Sorry about the scanner chatter in the back round, they use the tones to shut off the sirens too and I was trying to get those on tape also.
When I was in high school psychology, a hypnotist came and visted one day and put on a show. Someone taped it and I snagged a copy.
Here everyone has come out of their trance, but a post-hypnotic suggestion ensures that some won't leave the stage.

July 17, 2006 - Developing storms move in at about 4:30. We were under a severe storm warning for three hours that day. In the backround you can hear the sirens in town going off. These storms caused extensive tree and property in the city of Manitowoc.
