Everyone has a set Mind. This is the curse of humanity that we are only able to perceive a particular reality. Kant said every human experience is a priori which means the mind has an innate and inherent ability to make a synthetic judgment. In yoga this is called MAYA.
As ego grows undesirable qualities arise: argumentative, inconsiderate, and stubborn. Learn to recognize when you are in the grip of ego. You should realize that you are limited in your perception and ego does not allow you to see what others are thinking. You need to be always looking for how ego can destroy you then you will be more balanced.
Meditation can shape you up and gives direction. It helps young people to stay away from drugs and other self destructive things. However the most important impact on children is the mother.
