Upin and Ipin's classmates are abuzz over Fizi's bandaged hand. Fizi relates what happened the night before. Miss Jasmin then enters the class and begins a discussion on the reasons and benefits of fasting. The class ends with everyone asking for forgiveness from one another.
Ever wondered when Ramadhan starts? So do Upin and Ipin... Excited about the upcoming Ramadhan, they ask their elder sister Kak Ros, who explains to them that the month starts when the new moon is sighted. Intrigued by this newfound information, the duo set out to look for the new moon together that very night, and of course things do not go according to plan...
Kak Ros brings Upin and Ipin to the Ramadhan Bazaar. On arrival, Kak Ros instructs them to buy only one dish each. The twins' fasting willpower are severely tested by the many choices of tempting chicken dishes. They also meet Mail, who helps his mother sell fried chicken at a stall. The twins finally buy many chicken dishes but can they finish it all?
