This was the 8th attempt using the FlyCamOne2 on my Trex 450 Heli. I am still trying to find the right way to dampen the vibrations. I am searching for more ideas. More Vids will come as I make progress...
Testing my FPV Trex 450 w/DX7+AR6200. I was attempting to hover while following a friend on horseback. Actually he was there to retrieve the heli in case of a failure/crash. After that I tested the vertical range of my system. Seems to go pretty high! Later I will install an OSD with Altimeter. More to come..
I took the same equipment out of my Trex 450 and put it in a Parkzone T-28 Trojan. I have taken it over twice as far away as the helicopter. I also did my first First Person View Landing, which went ok. I had to flip the plane over at the end so it didn't crash into the horse's stalls. Amazingly there was zero damage to the plane.
The battery on the heli was running low, so I made an attempt to land but the heli bounced and tipped over. The ball link ripped out from the blade grip and it also damaged one of the cyclic servos. I am still experimenting with antenna orientation. More to come...
Testing vertical and horizontal range of FPV and control system. FPV antennas are now oriented in best positions. Still need to adjust control system rx/tx antennas. You can see the glitching as it gets further away.
I filmed some t&g's with my phase 3 fantom. You can see that on the 6th attempt, I hit the only rock there and I put a big gash in the wing. Time for some epoxy-
Onboard footage of "Death Swoops". One time I hit the Tree branch and almost took a few inches off the top of my friend! It's a Mini XE (foam 36" flying wing) with the flycamone2 video recorder onboard. More info @ www.SkyHighRC.com
Almost crashed on the first test of the XPS 2.4Ghz tx/rx FPV flying my Trex 450 Helicopter. I will be sticking with my Spektrum DX7/AR6200 Combo which had more than twice the range.
