Austin, Texas is always a good party town. There are two occasions that shine above the rest however. One would be the Mid-March South By Southwest Music Festival. The other would be any home game for the Texas Longhorns. Well we've brought them together here with Austin indie psych band The Boxing Lesson, and our 2008 Texas Longhorns.
I don't know about you, but I'm interested to see what Penn State comes with in 2008. Call me crazy, but they could contend for a Big Ten title. You never know. What I do know is that we have some snot knocking Nittany Lions highlights to go with the cool Western Pennsylvania band Identity X.
We knew when we heard "Bama Anthem" by Tuscaloosa's 63 Boyz that we had to make it into one of our football videos. When you see it you'll know why. It's perfect!
In 2008 the ACC appears ripe for the taking. Sounds like a perfect time for a resurgence of Florida State football. We've enlisted Tallahassee band Seeking Sui to help you get pumped.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders offense may be high flying, but the West Texas vibe is grounded and laid back. It's probably the weather in Lubbock. When it's that hot all the time, it doesn't take much to raise a good sweat. Make no mistake though, country rocker Cody Hughes Davidson knows exactly how to get you out of your chair.
Of all the bands who participated in our top 25, there were none as into their team as Norman, Oklahoma's Fist Of Five. If we had handed out helmets, they would have come storming out of the tunnel and hit someone. Oh, and they rock mightily too!
LSU Tiger fans have a lot to party about. They're defending national champs. They're loaded again in 2008. All they need now is a great band to play that party. Enter Baton Rouge's 6 Pack Deep. Live music fans at LSU know all about these fellas.
Of all the artists on our Top 25, only one actually played some college ball himself. That would be Kidd Russell. He may have played at Asuza Pacific in California, but this Illinois native is a huge Illini supporter, as you can see here.
The Academical Village People are a A'cappella group from the University of Virginia. ThePalestra.com caught up with the guys for one of their performances in Charlottesville.
With two Ohio State alumni in their fold, you won't find a band more pumped for Buckeye football than Watershed. You'll be pumped too after see Watershed's "Can't Be Myself" and some bone crushing Ohio State football highlights.
