This happened to a Chinook while out in Kuwait. The details of how the accident happened I do not know. I was just one of the three to help it land.
At the end of the video the Safety Officer is asking for a copy of the video. He states, "I want a copy of that alright... Seriously, it'd be great training."

This video was shot this morning (26-May-07) at Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan, on a digital camera in video mode. At first it might seem as though the video is being shot in slow motion, but it isnt. The shutter speed somehow matched the speed of the rotor blades and made it look like it was going slow. Very cool video, enjoy.
