The Avenson STO-2 is a pressure transducer. So are your ears. No Coincidence. We started out looking for a natural sounding mic and this is what we came up with. Sold in matched pairs, (two ears right?) the Avenson STO-2 are perfect for capturing instruments that need no flattery. With a matched pair, stereo is no problem - Jecklin disk or spaced pair - it will sound like you are standing there.

This was just me screwing around. I kinda half arsed the beginning.
This is my first amp recording. Considering im using a very cheap Pro 2 Electret Condenser EM-780E. I think it turned out alright. But I do need an SM57.
SPECIAL NOTE: For the soloing at the end I had to use the high end boost of the open Wah because I still need to get a MXR Micro Amp and a DOD FX40b

Slideshow of Epica's performance at Groene Engel in Oss 31-05-2008. Pictures were taken with my phone (HTC Touch Cruise), recording was done with a Minidisc player and a Sony condenser electrec stereo microphone. Because i was standing 3 meters away from a speaker cabinet, the sound clips sometimes, unfortunately. The quality is fairly decent though.
