Students in Bangladesh protested against the military and wanted the army to withdram from politics. Cars were set on fire and stones were thrown when military police used batons and tear gas to stop the demonstration, because protests are banned in Bangladesh under a state of emergency.
On July 23rd 2007 swiss police evicted the "Rhino" squat in Geneva (Switzerland). During and after the eviction several hundred people protested against this repression. Police used water cannons and tear gas, protestors blocked streets with barricades and set them on fire.
On June 4th, 2007, about 1500 people remembered the nazi attacks on the refugee 'reception centre' in 1992 in Rostock. Police attacked this peaceful demonstration, arrested three people and injured at least two.
A young russian woman has been mistreated by police officers in Barcelona. After she's been released a doctor counted 38 bruises all over her body, not to mention the emotional trauma. A few days ago four police officers of the same police station were suspended for mistreating an arrested person. It is said that police brutality has increased in Catalonia since a new catalan police was installed.
After the death of two youths there were three nights of anti-police riots in Paris and several other french cities. This video shows footage of November 28th, 2007, when police was attacked with petrol bombs and stones and people built up barricades and set (police) cars on fire.
On May 14th 2007 police evicted a house in Christiania (København). The house was teared down. During and after the eviction some riots broke out. Several people were arrested, some injured. This video shows the arrest of an obviously serious injured man.
On November 18th 2007 a demonstration against fascism took place in Barcelona. People demonstrated against fascist violence, after a 16-year old antifascist was killed by a 24-year old neonazi in Madrid on November 11th. After the demonstration some antifascists clashed with the police. Several people were injured on both sides.
After another train didn't depart some commuters destroyed a train station on May 16th 2007 in Buenos Aires. Fires were set and employees of the station were attacked. Argentinian riot squad entered the station shot tear gas granades, used their bats exaggerated and arrested several people.
