A scene from Cold Mountain (a civil war drama) with Brendan Gleeson as Stobrod Thewes and Renee Zellweger as his daughter, Ruby. Nicole Kidman is Ada Monroe. This is the scene when father and daughter are reunited. This is a great film. Go out and rent or buy it!!
Towel Day, May 25, 2008.
Remembering Douglas Adams
We spent Towel Day Eve at my parents' house and Towel Day itself in Napa California at a couple of wineries.
The music is Procol Harum's "The Grand Hotel," the song that inspired Adams to write "The Restaurant at the End of The Universe."
Thanks to my family for being so cooperative!
On Tuesday, July 1st, 2008 we broke the Guinness World Record for the largest guitar ensemble.
Where?: Concord California U.S.A.
Who?: 2052 guitar players (witnessed by many friends and family and news crews and nerds with cameras...like me) They were led by Country Joe McDonald.
Sorry that the audio isn't the best...to say the least.
This is at the library in Stockton CA on 6-25-07. It's a clip of Alex Cartenter introducing Roonil Wazlib and then Roonil Wazlib singing "Mollywobbles" from her album, "Muggle Knitting Patterns." This was a fantastic show and she has a fantastic album!
Here's a little film of Alex and Molly signing our flyers at the show in Stockton on 6-25-06. They were super nice and very talented. We chatted about video cameras and cooking and dancing to Wizard Rock.
This is a short video of my kids, step kids, and some of my sister's kids talking about Harry Potter characters and Hogwarts Houses. It's filmed in S.F. when we went to see The Knight Bus and at the movie theater when we waited for hours and hours to see the midnight showing of OotP. The background music is The Remus Lupins.
This is a little music video I edited for my dear husband, Peter. It has shots of Hellyer and Encino 2006 as well as some random pics of him on his bikes.
A collections of clips of my daughters, step-daughters, husband, nieces, a nephew, and Roonil Wazlib and The Knight Bus in San Francisco, BART commuter train, kiddy train at Pixie Land, movie theater at midnight to see OotP all knitted together and put to Harry and The Potters "Platform Nine and Three Quarters" and Roonil Wazlib "Mollywobbles."
