Fast-paced, baboons interacting around the pond, (and a little baby one); and a few impalas run through (read they like to follow monkeys for the berries the baboons knock out of trees).
After Mei Lan has crawled/scooted down most of the cage and around corner, she starts in the other corner, and slip/scoot/walks to the door, then goes to sleep.
Lion drug carcass into the trees, no wonder he is panting. Stuffed and tired: maybe took it there to guard it in the shade, get it out of the way to catch something else.
Lun Lun brings bamboo, Mei Lan ducks in corner to miss flying bamboo---takes her on a 4 minute out of the pen (getting harder to carry)---snuggles so affectionately & nurses her---great day!
Mei Lan uses the doorway for strategic leverage in height (she can look so little sometimes), & retreat-she feels pretty tough, against big Lun Lun. Ends in nursing, not necessarily the best time, ouch,(unless hyper-Mei Lan is tired). 2-05-07, 12:18-12:25 eastern time
First 10 minutes on cam this am. Mei Lan gets in tub, plays with Lun Lun, and goes to sleep behind pole. Lun Lun gets in tub, shampoos head with grass, and eats boo.
I don't know if she needs it, (was stuck?): but Lun Lun acts like she does & goes to great lengths to get her down (except stopping to scratch her legs), successfully this time-but Mei Lan also needs a better dismount from hammock.
...to See what She could see. I am so glad to finally see her do it-so cute-and she is so persistent. It was minutes before cam went off so we don't know what she saw or where she went.
